Our Humble Beginnings

Established in March 2008 in the heart of Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, Auntie Dee’s Pan De Manila began with a single, heartfelt mission: to serve freshly baked pandesal that would remind Filipinos of home. What started as small operation catering to a close-knit community quickly grew into a thriving culinary haven. Our signature rolls opened the door to a broader selection of classic Filipino baked goodies—from soft, cheesy ensaimadas and golden, flaky empanadas to a variety of traditional breads that generations of Filipinos have grown up loving. Our full-fledged bakery steeped in heritage and tradition, fuels our menu to continue to grow - introducing the authentic flavors of the Philippines to the rest of Angelenos.
As the bakery flourished, so did our passion for celebrating Filipino flavors. Auntie Dees' became known for its innovative and indulgent UBE creations, introducing this iconic purple yam flavor to both loyal Filipino patrons and curious new customers. In response to growing demand, we expanded our offerings to include beloved Filipino savory dishes like Pansit Malabon, a rich, hearty shrimp paste noodles, crispy Lumpia Shanghai (egg rolls), and Lumpiang Gulay (veggie rolls) - dishes that are always present in any Filipino occasions. Our menu has further grown to include a full catering selection featuring the showstopping Cebuchon (roasted pork belly), Cochinillo (roasted suckling pig), and Whole Lechon—all expertly prepared using an authentic Cebuano recipe passed down through generations after generations.
More than just a bakery, Auntie Dees' has evolved into a cultural hub—a place where everyone, regardless of background, can experience the warmth, richness, and joy of Filipino food. We’ve become a an iconic spot not only for Filipino families seeking a taste of home but also for local Angelenos eager to discover the bold, soulful flavors of our cuisine.
From our humble beginnings, Auntie Dees' has grown into a beloved local icon—an embodiment of Filipino pride and hospitality in Los Angeles. We’re honored to be a part of countless celebrations, milestones, and everyday meals, and we remain committed to sharing the tastes and traditions of the Philippines at every table. Whether you’re craving a simple pandesal or a full festive feast, Auntie Dees' is your home for all things Filipino!
